In this free training, we’ll zoom out and explore what becomes visible when we understand motherhood within its social and cultural context.

        • Together, we’ll explore:
        • What it means to see motherhood sociologically, and what becomes visible when we look beyond individual experience.
        • Why experiences like guilt, overwhelm and feeling “not good enough” follow recognisable social patterns.
        • How cultural ideals of the “good mother” become internalised and shape mothers' relationships with themselves.
        • How Motherhood Studies differs from matrescence, and what a sociological lens adds to our understanding of maternal transformation
        •  How you can begin applying this perspective in your own work with mothers.
